INVENT A CREDIT BUTTON!

Credit Card MachineI frequently use a check card to make purchases. It seems that no matter where I use it, I am steered to use it as a debit card – which costs me money. In order to use it as a check card I am forced to follow some ridiculous series of steps like “hit cancel, press enter, pick credit, and verify what you want.” This process is, of course, different in every retail store. The common thread is that none of them make it easy for me by just having an option clearly marked CREDIT. Please…Someone…Fix This!

Thanks,

Dave

It’s because if you hit “Credit”, the retailer pays the exorbitant fees, and if you hit “debit”, YOU pay the exorbitant fees. It’s part of an ongoing war between the credit card companies and the retailers.

Would be nice to have that button tho.
