Time and time again I have stated what I believe to be the obvious truth – Seth Godin writes the best blog on the internet. He is a damn good author of books as well. I own and have read pretty much everything he has ever penned, and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of his works. Yesterday, while sifting through my backlog of RSS feeds, I discovered that Seth has a new book coming out in May. I am thrilled. Right about the time the book comes out I will be nearing the end of my Christmas stockpile of new books, and I will be ready for new material to digest. I also thought that Seth was done with writing traditional books, so the news of a new book came as a pleasant surprise. I can’t wait to find out what it is all about. I’m quite certain it will somehow change the way I look at the world yet again. Between now and the release date, Seth has some “secret project” regarding the launch of the book. Check out this site if you are interested in finding out more about it.

One of the best blogs on the Internet is John Moore’s “Brand Autopsy.” The site is chock full of marketing goodness, supplied regularly by Mr. Moore. John is also the author of the book Tribal Knowledge, where he outlines his experiences as a marketing professional at Starbucks. John is very opinionated, passionate, and a firm believer in the power of “organic” word of mouth marketing. John is an inspiration to me, and I have the utmost respect for his work. Which is why…
I am delighted to make it known that on Wednesday April 11th, John Moore will be coming to Dayton, Ohio to address the Dayton Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Guests will be welcome to attend. You will not want to miss this event. The details of the event are forthcoming, but it will be great. If you are interested in coming, let me know. I will make sure to provide you with updates, which will also be listed here on voice. I spoke with John yesterday, and he is excited to bring his message to the Gem City. Mark your calendar today and be sure to check out John’s Book Tribal Knowledge. I got it for Christmas, and I am going to dig into it next week. (Can’t wait.) If it is anything like his other works, it will be great.
