Greatest magician (if there is such a thing)

Doug HenningMagic was in the air this week, as David Blaine locked himself in a fishbowl and almost went belly up at the end of his trick. With so much attention on magic this week we have a first for voice, with two, yes two magician polls in one week. Today, for fun, I pose the question who is the greatest of the following magicians and why?

  • Doug Henning
  • David Copperfield
  • Houdini
  • David Blaine
  • Penn & Teller (technically 2 magicians)
  • Blackstone
  • The Amazing Johnathan

Sure Penn and Teller are cool, the Amazing Johnathan is funny, David Copperfield gets the babes, Blackstone had that cool magic kit, David Blaine makes headlines and Houdini is a legend, but for my money Doug Henning is the man. He was a magic freak, and is an icon of the late 70’s and early 80’s. Two words…Jump Suit! Henning all the way.
