Google Calendar – eInvites

A couple weeks ago I put up a post about the new google calendar. Well two weeks later, I am still loving it. I used the invitation feature today to confirm a lunch appointment that I had set up with a friend. It was so cool. My friend could not believe how professional it was or that it was free. Gcal is great. You can integrate google maps into your invitations so that people know where to go. So say you are having a party. You can send out all your invites via gcal, regardless of whether the recipients have a google account or not, and then everyone can see who is coming, how to get there, what to bring, etc. It is totally free, completely portable, integrates into gmail messages, and you can even have it e-mail reminder via text messages to your phone. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work for Verizon, so I have not been able to take advantage of this feature just yet. If you haven’t checked out gcal yet, take a minute to do so and then voice your opinion about it by leaving a comment here.
